Gratitude Adjustment

December 21, 2014

Sometimes what you say out loud is not nearly as important as what you say in your heart.

Many Christians like to make a lot of fuss over what folks say about and at Christmas, but the truth of the matter is that there’s really only one response to Christmas with which we should concern ourselves.  God took on flesh and came into this world so that one day Jesus could sacrifice himself to save the world from sin and death.  There is nothing we can do or say to ever adequately make up for what God has done for us, but we can show our appreciation by filling our hearts with gratitude.

It is so easy for us to get distracted during the Christmas season, but telling God “thank you” seems like a great way to get ourselves back on track.

May you and your loved ones have a merry, blessed, and gratitude-filled Christmas!
